Easily add places from ATDW to your Alpaca itinerary by following these straightforward steps. Remember, first ensure you've connected your ATDW Distributor key to your Alpaca Profile. If you don't think you're connected, follow this tutorial.
1. Start in Your Dashboard:
-
- Navigate to the ‘Projects’ tab in your dashboard.
- Here, you can either create a new story or modify an existing one.
2. Begin Adding Places:
-
- Click on the green ‘+ADD’ button.
- To see your data source options, click on the 3 horizontal lines located on the left.
- Choose the ATDW option. Once selected, you'll notice grey icons populating your map.
- These grey icons represent ATDW listings. Zooming in will reveal more listings.
3. Adding a Listing:
-
-
- The easiest way: Simply click on a grey icon on the map to add the respective listing.
- Alternatively, utilise the search bar at the top:
- Type in the name of the desired listing.
- Select the correct listing from the drop-down that appears. Do note that using ATDW’s search API may sometimes yield varied results, especially with generic terms.
-
4. Viewing Your Added Listing:
-
- Even though ATDW content won't be visible within the Alpaca editor, rest assured it will be shown to your users on the front end.
- To verify the ATDW listing connected:
- Click the pencil icon next to the listing in the right-hand column.
- Expand the ‘Place information’ section.
- This area confirms the data source as ATDW. You can then click ‘View Data’ to open and inspect the listing on ATDW's official website.
Important Note on Content Updates:
All changes or updates for ATDW listings must be done directly on the ATDW platform. They can't be edited through Alpaca. Once you've updated a listing on ATDW, expect a brief delay. Your changes will reflect in Alpaca in a few days, depending on ATDW's approval processes.
