This guide is for you if you have an itinerary plotted in the new 'Create' editor, but you use any of the following older legacy features, such as;
- A Locale Guide )that you want to display your itineraries in)
- Bookmarking / trip planning
- An Alpaca Places Library (snippets)
You are still getting the benefits of plotting using the new and easier to use editor, but you will need to continue using the original display templates for now, as the legacy features are not yet supported in the new display templates.

Connect New Itineraries to Your Locale Guide (If you have one):
-
- Just as before, add the relevant tags to your map so it shows up correctly in your guide. Common tags might be ‘itineraries’ or ‘trails’.
- To do this:
-
- Open the ‘Classifications’ section.
- Click the pencil icon to edit.
- Scroll to the ‘Tags’ section at the bottom.
- Type in your chosen tags and click ‘Save’.
-
- After publishing your map, give your guide some time to refresh. This might take several hours.
Always remember, when in doubt, check with how you've done things in the past, and ensure you follow these steps closely for the best results.
Did you have older itineraries migrated across to the new editor?
If you have had your older itineraries migrated across from the old editor to the new editor and you already have these itineraries embed on your website, you will need to re-embed the maps with the new code you generate following the steps above.
